The entire day felt relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant from beginning to end.

One of the things we love most about photographing weddings at Hummingbird House is how immersive the property feels. Between the mature trees, garden pathways, fountains, and open air reception spaces, the venue creates such a beautiful backdrop for couples wanting a wedding that feels connected to nature while still maintaining an elevated and timeless aesthetic.

Anna + Kyle embraced the beauty of the venue by leaning into a color palette that felt inspired by the surrounding gardens themselves. Deep emerald linens paired with soft floral tones and warm terracotta accents created a design that felt both sophisticated and welcoming.

One of our favorite details from the day was the way the reception tent blended seamlessly into the outdoor environment. The greenery installations suspended above the reception space added so much movement and texture, while the candlelit tables and layered place settings gave everything an intimate, dinner party feel.

The reception details throughout the wedding felt understated in the best possible way, elegant without being overly formal, and intentional without feeling overdesigned. Every part of the celebration reflected Anna + Kyle’s calm, joyful presence.

Golden Hour Portraits in the Garden

Hummingbird House always photographs beautifully in the evening, and Anna + Kyle’s portraits during golden hour were some of our favorite moments from the day. The soft winter sunlight filtering through the gardens created such a dreamy atmosphere for portraits together.

The garden archways, fountains, and tree lined pathways throughout Hummingbird House gave us so many naturally beautiful locations to work with while still keeping portraits relaxed and effortless.

Anna’s bouquet of cream blooms, soft greenery, and burnt orange accents tied in perfectly with the overall design of the day, and the timeless simplicity of both her gown and Kyle’s classic black suit made the entire gallery feel elegant and refined.

A Cozy and Elegant Reception Celebration

As the sun set, the reception space transformed into such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The combination of candlelight, layered greenery, and soft draping made the entire evening feel incredibly romantic.

We especially loved the intimate feel of the reception design. Guests gathered beneath the greenery installations while soft string lights and candlelight created the perfect cozy ambiance for a December wedding celebration.

Their simple textured cake accented with florals and greenery perfectly reflected the overall aesthetic of the wedding: refined, elegant, and timeless.
